Water heater 40 gallons - State Select - used

This listing is for a 40 gallon water heater tank. We changed our water heater when we moved to this condo a few years back and this 40 gallon water heater tank has been stored in the basement ever since "just in case".
I have put old appliances like old washer and driers here on eBay before and people buy them for pieces or for the metal.
This item is sold "as is". I have not reason to think that it won't work. It was working perfectly before we replaced it for one with more capacity, but I was not responsible for removing/replacing it, so I can NOT guarantee it's performance or operation. I can't remember how old it was or for how long it had been operating. It is probably ideal for parts or to resell the metal, but, although I have no reason to believe it would not work, I can't guarantee performance or operation.
This item is stored in my basement and picking it up is part of the deal. There's only 5 steps but I can't carry or lift it, so I want to make clear that removing it from where it is stored is part of the arrangement. I won't ship this item and I might not be able to help carrying it to your vehicle. Removal is of course at your best convenience.
