Offered here is a vintage award patch, which is attached to a canteen cover. The patch reads: "SECOND...DUNCAN YO-YO CONTEST BY FLAMBEAU." The canteen is metal, and has a cloth cover. It is "possible" that the patch was sewn onto the canteen cover, and then the canteen was given as a prize, in a YO-YO tournament. However, a more probable scenario is, that the patch was won by a participant, who then attached it to the canteen. I think it's pretty cool that a kid proudly carried around this canteen. However, if you just want to display the patch, it would be easy enough to cut the thread, and remove. The canteen measures about 8 inches wide. The cloth patch is about 3 & 1/4 inches wide and 3 inches tall, in the center. The patch & canteen are guaranteed to be old & original, or your money back.
