antique/vintage Carpenter wallpaper tool Measuring Stick Telescoping Brass Wood

An Antique Brass and Wood Telescoping Wood Measuring Stick.....5 feet long and extends to 10 feet..... has inch and foot markings embedded in the wood.... is super condition    super patina from natural ageing...… offered as found    has not been cleaned...…..This is a super rare item...….. my guess is that it is a measuring tool for wallpapering..... to measure the length of paper needed also to accurately measure the height of a ceiling...… or   maybe used by a carpenter or plasterer..... please look at the pictures carefully and ask questions...… I have been around for a long time and have never seen anything like this. before....   NOTE   I am guessing the shipping weight at 10 pounds    actual may be less...… will attach to a heavy piece of wood to insure it arrives safely....
